No, we never use reconditioned steel drums to build our smokers for sale to the public. “Reconditioned” drums are taken through a sanitizing process at industrial locations. Although they are safe for use we don’t have any idea what they were previously used for before reconditioning. They usually come dented and a little warped most of the time from the reconditioning site. We do have access to them here locally, and they would save you money.
